John 8:32

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

God’s word is the truth. We must know the truth to be free from the lies of the devil. Jesus said freedom is a result of knowing the truth. In other words, real freedom is a product of our mind so therefore, it is vitally important that we consider what we hear and feed our minds. The word says as a man thinks, so is he (Proverbs 23-7a). If we don’t know what the word of God says, we will believe the lies of the enemy.

When the devil says you are going under, the truth is that you are always going to win. When the devil says you are going to die early, the truth is by the stripes of Jesus you are healed (1 Peter 2:24) and God satisfies you with long life and fullness of days (Psalms 91:16). When the devil lies to you and says you will always have financial lack, the truth is Jesus became poor for you to be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9) and Jesus redeemed us from the curse of poverty. The same Jesus that paid the price for your sins, paid the price for you to be free from sickness and poverty also.

The truth is what God says in his word. Anything else is a lie! We always win when we believe the truth (God’s word) and act on it. We must know the truth. God’s never-changing word is the truth.
