You Are Set Apart

Psalms 4:3a TLB
Mark this well: The Lord has set apart the redeemed for himself.

The psalmist says, “Mark this well.” I believe he wants the reader to know the importance of what he is about to say. Today we would say something like, “Listen up,” or “Pay special attention.” The psalmist wants us to know how special we are to God. We have been redeemed (purchased) by God with the blood of his son, Jesus Christ. God has set us apart for himself. We are special and valuable to God, our heavenly father. When the enemy tries to make you feel condemned and unworthy of God’s best, put him in remembrance of what God says about you. God says you are set apart for himself. God delights in you. He delights in fellowshipping with you. You are set apart for God’s pleasure and you don’t care about what happened in your past. Right now God says you are set apart for him and that is good enough for you. End of story! Hallelujah! You win!

Prayer – Father, I thank you for loving me and setting me apart for your pleasure. I am yours and you are my heavenly father who loves me unconditionally. Amen!
