Use to Be

Ephesians 2:1-2 NLT
Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.

The word of God is written to God’s people, not the world. In the New Covenant God, through men of God, inspired the writers. God sees us in Christ, not what we used to be. We used to be sinners, now we are Saints. We used to be separated from God, now we are united with him. We are Sons and Daughters of the most high God. We are righteous. We are delivered from the power of darkness. We used to be cursed, but now we are blessed. We used to be slaves to sin under the control of anything our flesh wanted to do, but now we are freed from sin and empowered by the Holy Spirit to control our ungodly desires. We used to be weak, but now we are strong in the Lord. We can do everything God has called us to do. Yes, we used to be poor lost sinners under the control of the enemy, but now we are born again New Covenant blessed Children of the almighty God! We are winners, not losers. We bring glory to God, our father, in the Earth. When people see us they see God’s goodness in manifestation. Hallelujah!
You are a new creation, old things have passed away! You are brand new with a brand new future. Go and be what God created you to be and do what he created you to do!

Prayer- Father, I thank you for forgiving me and giving me a brand new life with a future filled with your blessings!
