We know this because the Good News we brought came to you not only with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit, and with complete certainty. In the same way you know what kind of people we were while we were with you and the good things we did for you.
The gospel, or good news, about Jesus Christ is not merely good sounding words to encourage and comfort us, but the power of the almighty God is released when we act on God’s word. When we communicate the word we should expect God to confirm his word with signs following (Mark 16:20). Apostle Paul reminded the believers about the power of God that the word produced. We do not have a powerless gospel. The gospel is the power of God that will produce eternal life in anyone who believes. The gospel will heal the sick. The gospel gives us assurance we will win when we are in difficult situations. The gospel is God’s goodness to all mankind. Amazing victory in life is available through faith in Christ Jesus. The power of God is released through faith in God and His word. Keep winning in life through the word!
Prayer – The word of God is the power of God working in my life. Father, I thank you for the truth and confirming your word in my life with signs. I win in life because your word always produces the promised results. Amen!
