Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

 

Apostle gives the most important key that is required in the Kingdom before we are promoted. Paul says the Steward (administrator appointed to look after) must be found faithful. The word found means a discovery over a period of time.  Not occasionally, not when it is something they enjoy, not when they are in the spotlight, but all the time in every situation, they are found faithful. Faithful means reliable. An administrator that has proven over a period of time to be reliable is the instruction Apostle Paul is communicating. The first thing we must have developed is reliability. We must be reliable at our workplace, in the Kingdom, and most of all in our home.

Promotion comes from the almighty God, but we must be reliable to qualify to be promoted. Desire to be promoted? The first thing is to be reliable.

Prayer – Father, I purpose to be more reliable. Show me the areas where I can grow and be more reliable. My desire is to be more like Jesus in everything I do and say. Amen.
