Acts 16:17-18 NLT

She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.” This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.

 

The devil is a liar! He talks a good game to try and make us fear Him and doubt God, but he is no match for Jesus Christ! Jesus said kick him out of Heaven (Luke 10:18) and Jesus personally defeated him at the cross. The victory that Jesus won over the devil is for the freedom of all Humanity, especially those that believe. Jesus gave every believer the right to use his name and his authority over the ability of the devil (Luke 10:19). Apostle Paul had enough of the devil mocking him through this young girl. He turned and commanded the devil to come out of her, in the name of Jesus. The devil obeyed the command and the young girl was free. The devil is no match for Jesus!

When we use the name of Jesus, we keep ourselves free from the devil and we can free others. Don’t listen to the lies of the devil. He is a loud talker and wants to get in your head. He wants you to believe his lies and doubt the truth of God’s word. When he speaks loudly to you in your head telling you that you are not going to win, or condemns you for your failures, you MUST get him out of your head! Think about what God says about you in his word. Use the authority of Jesus and tell the devil to go from you and everything that concerns you. The devil will obey you. He is no match for Jesus Christ! You win when you use the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You are on the winning team!

 

Prayer – Thank you Father for the victory you gave me in Christ Jesus. I thank you for the right to use the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The devil and all demonic forces obey me when I used the name of Jesus. Amen!
