Meekness is Strength

Galatians 5:22-23 KJV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Meekness is not weakness. Meekness is power under control. It takes inner strength to control yourself when someone says or does something to you that you dislike. When we are provoked, instead of responding in a negative way, we must let the fruit of meekness flow from our heart. Meekness doesn’t mean you are a coward, or afraid, but that you have the inner strength to control yourself. Question – have you responded to something someone did, or said to you in a negative way that cost you instead of them? Many times in sports the player that retaliates gets the penalty.

We are born again and have the Holy Spirit living in us. Holy spirit empowers us to not retaliate in a way that will cost us. We have the inner strength to be meek and kind when we are provoked. We win when we are meek and kind to others. Don’t think that you are a pushover because you are Meek. It takes strength to walk away and let it go. Meekness is not weakness, but a fruit of your new recreated Spirit man. Keep winning in Christ Jesus!

Prayer – I am born again. I have the Supernatural ability to have self control. I purpose to be meek and kind to everyone, even when I am provoked. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who is my strength. Amen!
