Matthew 15:3 NLT

Jesus replied, “And why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?

 

The word of God says our traditions can make the word of God not produced in our lives. When we minimize the importance of the word and maximize a tradition that doesn’t agree with the instructions in the word, we hinder the word from producing in our lives. All traditions are not wrong, or ungodly, but when a tradition conflicts with the instructions in the word, we must maximize the importance of the word and minimized the importance of the tradition.

 

We all have traditional things we do. To win in life we must agree with the word when a tradition violates an instruction in the word. Choose the word and you will receive the promised results. Maximize the word and minimize any traditions that conflict with your Godly lifestyle. You always win when you act on the word!

 

Prayer – Father, show me any traditions that I am maximizing above the word and I purpose to be a doer of your word in every area of my life. Amen.
