Love

1 John 4:21 AMPC
And this command (charge, order, injunction) we have from Him: that he who loves God shall love his brother [believer] also.

Loving other believers is the charged order injunction that we have from God. The proof of our love for God is indicated in our love for other brothers and sisters in Christ. Sure, we have different personalities and different things we enjoy, but these are never to be a reason for not loving one another. The love God speaks of is not a soulish, emotional love that changes like the weather, but a consistent love not based on feelings but a choice.
We know God loves us and is very tolerant of the things we do that are not his will. He never gives up on us and withholds his love. God loves us unconditionally because that is who he is. When we love others as God loves us, we demonstrate that we are children of God and we are obedient to keep his word. Love is a winning ingredient. We always win when we love others.

Prayer – Father, it is your will and my desire to love others and I purpose in my heart to do so. Help me to love others beginning with the members of my family. In Jesus name
