And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah–jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

 

2 Corinthians 8:9 GNT

You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ; rich as he was, he made himself poor for your sake, in order to make you rich by means of his poverty.

 

Abraham was about to sacrifice his son, Isaac, to the Lord, but the angel of the Lord called him. Notice Abraham lifted up his eyes and he saw a ram caught in a thicket that God had provided for the sacrifice. God gave Abraham a lesson about his nature and character. God demonstrated to Abraham that he will always supply whatever is necessary for us to win, when we do his will.

We live in this physical realm even though we are Spirit beings. We need physical, material things to fulfill our Godly assignment. Notice Abraham saw the ram and called the place Jehovah-jireh, the Lord will provide, or the Lord will see. In other words, God sees what we need to succeed and he will provide it.

We can have confidence in God. Jesus said first seek the kingdom of God and all material things will be added. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God. God saw our conditions and provided Jesus Christ to take away our sins, sicknesses, diseases, and poverty. Jesus is our Jehovah-jireh. He is God’s provision given to us to win in life. We don’t have to work and make up our own way to be right with God. Lift up your eyes and see Jesus, the lamb God provided for us to win and reign in life, now! By faith receive Jesus as God’s provision to free you from the works of the devil.

 

Prayer – Jesus Christ is my Jehovah-jireh. Jesus became poor so I can be rich in this life in every way: spiritually, physically, materially, and financially. I thank you Father for Jesus Christ, the lamb you provided for me to win in life!
