If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved.
A small but very significant word is the word, “if.” If is a conjunction used to talk about the result of something that may happen. It is used to say that something must happen before another thing can happen. In this scripture Apostle Paul is saying if you declare that Jesus is Lord and if you believe God brought him back to life from the dead then you will be saved. In other words, real Kingdom of God salvation comes after the IF.
IF you declare Jesus is your Lord and IF you believe Jesus died for your sins and that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. There is no other way to receive God’s salvation. You cannot just stop doing what we call “bad” things. You cannot be saved by just attending church. You can only be saved by meeting God’s condition. You must deal with that little big word, IF. If you believe God raised Jesus from the dead and confess the lordship of Jesus in your personal life, you are saved. Hallelujah!
