2 Chronicles 19:9 KJV
And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the Lord, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
King Jehoshaphat gave the citizens of the Kingdom two important instructions for Success:
1. Always fear, or reverence, God. To fear God is to follow His instructions regardless of what others say or do and despite how we personally think and feel. Reverential fear of the almighty God is esteeming God and His word above everything. God will confirm his word when we act on (obey) His instructions. When we do the word, we are blessed in all we do (James 1:25).
2. Serve God with a perfect heart. In other words, don’t exalt anything in your life above God. God must always be number one in your life. We must never place anyone or anything before God in our lives. We win because God is number one and he gives us instructions and wisdom to succeed in every area of our life.
Always reverence and prioritize God and you will always win in life!
Prayer – Father, I reverence you and give you first place in my life. I realize it is only because of your wisdom that I will succeed in my life. Amen!
