Not Just a Baby

Isaiah 9:6a KJV
For unto us a child is born…

The Christmas season is a wonderful time of the year. Everything is bright and people are cheerful. For believers in Christ, we are filled with joy because we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The prophet Isaiah prophesied concerning the birth of a special child. This was not just a baby, but a baby born as the savior of all mankind.
Jesus was God manifested in the flesh. No one understood when this baby was born that he was Emanuel: God living with us. God, in Jesus Christ, had come to live with his people.  No one completely grasped that the baby was the Messiah, the anointed one, who came to free us from all the things Satan had us bound to. He came to free us from the penalty of sin and the power of sin. He came to free us from all sicknesses and diseases. He came to free us from poverty and all the destructive works of the devil.
We celebrate the birth of Jesus because we believe he was not just a baby, but he is the Lord and Savior. In him we live, move, and have our being. Jesus Christ is our life. We always win because of him! The world needs to know this was not just a baby born in Bethlehem. This was the one and only Messiah, Jesus Christ, Emanuelle, our Lord and Savior. In him we live and move and have our being. Jesus Christ is our life. We always win because of him! The world needs to know this was not just a baby born in Bethlehem. This was the one and only Messiah; Jesus Christ; Emmanuel; our Lord and Savior! Hallelujah!

Prayer – Father my heart is filled with Thanksgiving to you for giving us Jesus. He is my Lord, my Savior, my healer, my provider, my protector, my deliverer, my righteousness, my peace, my joy, my counselor, and my life. Thank you father for Jesus Christ! Amen!
