For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes…

 

Like Apostle Peter told the Believers, Jesus Christ is real. The reality of Jesus is so amazing, some people may think we are telling a good story, or a fable, about a person who didn’t really exist. Peter said no to this way of thinking. He tells us, “I was there. I was with him. I saw the Majestic Splendor with my own eyes.”

 

Jesus Christ is not the main character in a great story, he is a real man who lived in this real world. He is the word of God that became flesh. He is the sinless Lamb of God which took away the sin of the world. If he was only a character in the story, we would still be sinners separated from God eternally damned to hell, but Jesus Christ is our Lord and savior and because of our faith in him are born again, New creation, and blessed to live with him forever. We win because Jesus Christ is real. Hallelujah!

 

Prayer – Father, I thank you for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have a new life and a new relationship with you because of Jesus Christ. Amen.
