God Loves A Joyful Giver

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 KJV
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

The word cheerful can be translated: hilarious, joyful, merry, prompt, or willing. These are descriptive words concerning the attitudes of someone who gives. We can say it like this, God loves and individual who is hilarious, joyful, merry, prompt and willing to give. God, who is love, is telling us what kind of giver he loves. Obviously, God is letting us know our attitude, when we give, is key and very important to him.
God is ultimately the giver of everything we give to him. God is our source and when we understand that everything we have comes from him, we will be hilarious, joyful, merry, prompt, and willing to give to God. If this attitude of giving gets special attention from God, imagine what degree of multiplied increase God gives us when we are hilarious, joyful, merry, prompt and willing to give! This is the attitude our God will not do without. You win because you have a winning attitude when you give.

Prayer – Father, I thank you for giving me money to give into the kingdom of God. I am a hilarious, joyful, merry, prompt and willing giver. It is a joy to give to you what you have given to me. Amen!
