Come to the Throne of Grace

Hebrews 4:15 -16 NIV For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

What an amazing invitation God gives us. Jesus Christ, our great high priest, has made it possible for us to approach God with confidence. We don’t have to fear being rejected. God, our heavenly Father, invites us to come to him; don’t run away from him when we experience challenges. Sometimes we feel condemned, unworthy, and ashamed when we sin (miss the mark) and we turn away from God. God loves us unconditionally and invites us to come to him in every situation. Notice his throne is a throne of Grace (unearned favor); the favor that we receive because of Jesus Christ. When we come with confidence to God’s throne of favor, we will find mercy, forgiveness, compassion, grace, and favor to help us in our time of need. What a mighty and good God we serve. Whenever you are challenged or miss the mark don’t turn away from God, your father, but come to him with a heart of assurance that you will receive mercy and grace to help you succeed. You always win in Christ!

Prayer – Father, I thank you for your mercy and Grace there are times when I miss the mark and do or say something that is not Christ-like. Help me to overcome these things. I thank you for always receiving me and hearing my prayers. I thank you for giving me mercy and grace every time I come to you. This gives me confidence as I continue to grow in Christ-likeness. I purpose to always draw closer to you in every situation. Thank you for always hearing me, receiving me, and blessing me with grace to win in life.
