Good News for Everyone

Luke 2:8-10 ERV
“That night, some shepherds were out in the fields near Bethlehem watching their sheep. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord was shining around them. The shepherds were very afraid. The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid. I have some very good news for you—news that will make everyone happy.”

Think about this scene. Some shepherds are in a field and suddenly an angel appears to them. Wow! And the glory, or splendor, of the he Lord was shining around them. Wow! You can understand their first reaction was fear. They had never experienced something like this before. This was the divine proclamation that the King of kings was here.

Our God is not regular or mediocre. Our God does things in a way that everyone knows that this is a God moment. Our God turns rods into serpents. He parts sees and rivers. Our God is amazing and does amazing things! There is nothing too hard for our God! Back to the scene with the shepherds: the angel appears with a message for all generations. He gives the purpose for Jesus being born. Notice, the angel says don’t be afraid, I have some very good news for you. News that will make everyone happy. Yes, everyone. Regardless of ethnic origin, economic Environment, lifestyle etc. The Angel said he had good news that will make everyone happy. Of course the good news was Jesus. Therefore, we can conclude Jesus came and we can be happy in this life.

What would make a sick person happy? Being healed. What will make a poor person happy? Having finances to live a good life. What would make someone bound by an addiction happy? Being delivered and free. Whatever your Challenges are, I have good news! Jesus came to change the situation so that you can be happy! Be happy! You win because of Jesus!

Prayer – Father, I thank you for sending Jesus Christ for me to be happy. I win over every challenge that comes against me; I know Jesus Christ will give me the victory. I will not complain. I will be happy because I always win in Christ. Amen!
